Honoring our baptismal promise, we celebrate the Christian life of all women of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California by coming together as a community for spiritual growth and service through education, encouragement and support of individual ministries.
The Commission on Women's Ministries (CWM) serves as an umbrella for all women serving Christ in ministry, ordained and laity, individually, and any group, guild, or organization.
Women's Gathering Day! September 22
THE CAPABLE WOMAN
Who can find a capable woman? She is more precious than jewels. Proverbs 31: 10.
The Gathering Day, September 22, is at St. Luke’s, Woodland. 9:00 a.m.—to noon. All women are invited to learn and share. We will be showcasing the first three recipients of our Spring Women’s Ministries’ grants, each from a different church, doing unique outreach ministries specific to women’s needs. The monies granted were from the seed-money funds collected by Women’s Ministries over the past several years. Those funds will be restored and combined with those received from our new Labor Day Annual appeal and will be designated for annual use as grant funds.
The Commission of Women’s Ministries motto is, “Women Together Serving Christ” and we believe it is all our work to help and support one another. Please give generously.
Please look for and use the informational flier included in your church's bulletin on September 2, or you ask your church office.
If you have questions or ideas, please phone me, Gaye Anne McWade, at 916-960-9121, or email me at email@example.com

The Capable Woman
First Annual Women’s Ministries Appeal
Bishop Barry Beisner has blessed September 2 for our Women’s Ministries Annual Appeal Day. It’s appropriate that this Sunday is in the Labor Day weekend. Many stories can be told of our Northern California Episcopal women, faithful laborers both past and present. Our congregations depend on these gracious women, who are doing the work of the church and reaching out in their communities. The Commission of Women’s Ministries’ work is to support and serve these women through education, encouragement, and grant funds for outreach in their communities.
